China's iron & steel industry posts record profit in 2006
Beijing (ANTARA News/Asia Pulse) - China's iron and steel industry reaped record profit of 169.95 billion yuan (US$22 billion) in 2006, surging more than 30 per cent year on year, figures from the China Iron and Steel Industry Association show.

Steel industry asks for freight rationalisation

Structural Steel Industry Projects Continued Growth in 2007
Demand for structural steel on construction projects in the United States will continue to grow in 2007, according to industry forecasts. The American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) projects a growth in tonnage demand for structural steel of 2% in 2007.

U.S. Steel to pay $350,000 for pollution in Detroit River

India's steel industry steps onto world stage
